Aphorisms

The same thing happened today that happened yesterday… Only to different people.

Each person invented himself. We are a figment of our imagination. Some people have a greater ability to imagine than others.

Nuclear Winter Myth

Bikini Atoll Destruction

Bikini Atoll 70 years after nuclear tests were performed there  is thriving. On July 24, 1946 the nuclear (nucular) explosion called the Baker Test bloomed and shrouded its formidable height over the U.S. Navy’s test fleet. The United States dropped 23 nuclear bombs on the island, including a device in 1954 that was 1,100-times larger than the Hiroshima atom bomb (Castle Bravo). (Ed. I had an acquaintance that was there and his description was even more stunning than the media accounts – Letters in a Bottle) Now a team of scientists from Stanford University have been stunned. They discovered an abundance of marine life apparently thriving in the crater of Bikini Atoll, which was declared a nuclear wasteland after the bombings.

Strangely enough, the same has been found at Chernobyl in Ukraine. It is starting to emerge that even setting off every nuclear bomb will not destroy the planet or turn Earth into space rocks. We can alter our environment by doing so and rid the planet of humanity as the dominant species, but Earth will heal itself and life will adapt exactly as scientists have discovered in Ukraine at the site of Chernobyl. Who’da thought wildlife would thrive because humans were sent running.

This new evidence emerging from Chernobyl and Bikini Atoll is demonstrating that we just may not be as smart and all-powerful as we think we are.

Breakfast is Best

Breakfast foods are the best foods, as anyone who has ever had cereal for an evening meal will testify.

Same goes for night toast.

New research from a seven year study suggests making breakfast your biggest meal of the day, is the key to a healthier weight.

More than 50,000 study participants over the age of 30 from the US and Canada were monitored in health surveys. The data was then analysed by researchers at Loma Linda University, California.

The study found that not skipping breakfast, and having a larger meal at breakfast time, were associated with a decrease in Body Mass Index.

The significant decrease was relative to those who had dinner as the largest meal of the day.

It’s worth stating that BMI is by no means the best measure of weight, or healthiness, but other studies have suggested that skipping meals is bad for your waistline and your health.

Nevertheless the large breakfast would suggest a person is less likely to snack between meals, and stick to a proper meal plan.

The study also found a link between meal timings and a decrease in BMI.

It concluded that proper fasts between meal times, such as five to six hours between breakfast and lunch, and 18 hours between dinner and the following breakfast, would help decrease BMI.  ( Editors Note: The math here says that you could only eat two meals a day and if you eat dinner at 6:00.p.m. you would not be eligible to eat again until Noon the next day – meaning this would be ‘lunch’ and not breakfast. )

Its findings were published in the Journal of Nutrition.

The Old Wolf

The wolf pack on the move.

A wolf pack: the first 3 are the old or sick, they give the pace to the entire pack.  If it were the other way round, they would be left behind, losing contact with the pack.  In case of an ambush they would be sacrificed.

Then come 5 strong ones, the front line.

In the center are the rest of the pack members, then the 5 strongest following.

Last is alone, the alpha.  He controls everything from the rear.  In that position he can see everything, decide the direction.  He sees all of the pack.

The pack moves according to the elders pace and help each other, watch each other.

Theory of Everything

The Grand Unified Theory

is a model in particle physics whereby the Standard Model, which defines the electromagnetic, weak, and strong forces, are merged into one single force. The laws in particle physics do not match the Standard Model. This has been the quest to find the single answer that unified all. However, unifying gravity with the other three interactions would provide what is called the “Theory of Everything” (TOE), rather than a GUT which is an intermediate step towards a TOE.
Consequently, Einstein’s theory of gravity, called general relativity, can explain everything from the movements of planets to the physics of black holes. However, it simply doesn’t seem to apply on the scale of the particles that make up atoms. To predict how particles will behave, we need the theory of quantum mechanics. Quantum mechanics explains the way particles function, but it simply doesn’t apply on any scale larger than an atom. The elusive solution for combining the two theories is the Grand Unified Theory (GUT).
Not to leave you behind here, Gravitational Time Dilation is the phenomenon that the further you move away from gravity the faster time passes. This was predicted by Albert Einstein originally in his Theory of Relativity and it has since been confirmed by tests of general relativity. Therefore, TIME is not a constant. This is what Einstein meant by saying “reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”
Electricity can be transmitted distances ONLY by adding a cycle (Alternating Current) whereby without a cycle, DC (Direct Current) quickly dissipates due to the resistance of the medium through which it is trying to pass. The cycle is the key to using electricity. We need the wave motion between two extremes to perpetuate our existence. It cannot be sunny and bright every single day with no rain and still survive. The Earth turns to an ice age and then reverses with global warming as a natural cycle set in motion by the beat of the Sun. If the Earth ever became totally covered in snow and ice, it would fall into the White Earth effect and die reflecting sunlight unable to ever warm back again.
